The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) Releases Program Agenda for 22nd Annual World Congress on Anti-Aging, Regenerative & Aesthetic Medicine in Orlando, FL taking place May 16-17, 2014

 

Distinguished speakers, innovative topics and ‘can’t miss’ practical hands-on education featured in conference program agenda

 

The A4M recently released the full conference program agenda for the 22nd Annual World Congress on Anti-Aging, Regenerative & Aesthetic Medicine taking place in Orlando, May 16th-17th. With over 2,000 medical practitioners from all specialties, both domestic and international expected to attend this event, the agenda includes brand new featured guest speakers, innovative educational topics, modules from the Fellowship in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine, a full day of pre-conference workshops, over 250 exhibiting companies, sponsored evening workshops, product theater, and much more.

The featured keynote speaker is David Katz, MD, MPH, FACP, director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center. Dr. Katz is a two-time diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, a Board Certified specialist in Preventive Medicine/Public Health, and a clinical instructor at the Yale School of Medicine. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Childhood Obesity, President-Elect of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, founder and President of the non-profit Turn the Tide Foundation, and medical director for the Integrative Medicine Center at Griffin Hospital in Derby, CT. Dr. Katz has been extensively involved in medical education. He was a founding director of one of the nation’s first combined residency training programs in Internal Medicine and Preventive Medicine (Griffin Hospital, Derby, CT); and served as Director of Medical Studies in Public Health at the Yale University School of Medicine for a span of 8 years. He has led classes and given lectures for Yale students in medicine, public health, nursing, the physician assistants program, and undergraduates, as well as medical residents and faculty.

Dr. Katz will present “Integrative Medicine: A Bridge Over Healthcare’s Troubled Waters” on Friday, May 16th, the first full day of general conference sessions.

Joel Heidelbaugh, MD, another internationally distinguished presenter will speak on “The Well Examination:  Now That You’ve Got His Attention, How Do You Keep Him Healthy,” focusing on men’s health. Special guest presenter Juliet Funt, founder and owner of WhiteSpace at Work will present “WhiteSpace: Take Back Control of Your Time.”

This event offers unparalleled education advancing the continuing medical education for all practitioners in attendance. Presentation topics include practical hands-on demonstration sessions on the subjects of telomeres, aging and disease; metabolic syndrome; neuroendocrine regulation; inflammation; brain fitness; case studies; and men’s health, among others.

The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine gears up for first continuing medical education event of 2014
A4M will host hundreds of medical professionals in San Francisco, CA March 13-16th for BHRT Symposium and Fellowship Modules

 Hundreds of medical professionals, both domestic and international, will gather at San Francisco’s Westin St. Francis hotel for a continuing medical education event in the fields of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine. The event will feature a symposium on Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) as well as four different modules from the Fellowship in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine (FAARM).

The BHRT Symposium will allow attendees to analyze the medical evidence of hormone therapy as well as learn from leading experts currently practicing BHRT. The focus will also be on how to merge BHRT into an existing practice.

Select topics to be covered during this four-day course include clinical signs and symptoms of hypothyroidism; hormone replacement for women; essential lab tests; cancer awareness and hormones; bio-identical hormones and the cardiovascular system; hormones and the brain; and preventing Alzheimer’s disease.

Speakers will include medical experts in the top of their respective fields.

Thierry Hertoghe, MD is President of the International Hormone Society and is an internationally known authority in medical therapies designed to improve hormone deficiencies, reduce aging and possibly extend lifespan. Jennifer Landa, MD, OB/GYN, FAARFM is Chief Medical Officer for BodyLogicMD and is director of the certification in Sexual Health & Treatment with A4M. Dr. Landa co-authored the book The Sex Drive Solution for Women, a no-nonsense approach to many of the sex drive issues Dr. Landa addresses with her patients every day. Ron Rothenberg, MD is clinical professor and course director of Preventative and Family Medicine at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. He authored a book titled Forever Ageless. Pam Smith, MD, MS, MPH is a diplomat of the Board of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Physicians and is an internationally known speaker and author on the subject of Metabolic, Anti-Aging and Functional Medicine. She also holds a Master’s in Public Health Degree along with a Master’s Degree in Metabolic and Nutritional Medicine. Dr. Smith is director of the Fellowship in Anti-Aging, Regenerative and Functional Medicine (FAARFM) with A4M. Jonathan Wright, MD is Medical Director of Tahoma Clinic in Renton, Washington. Dr. Wright obtained his degrees from Harvard University and the University of Michigan. He has taught nutritional therapy since 1983 and is recognized as a pioneer and innovator in the field of nutritional medicine.

In addition to the BHRT Symposium, Fellowship Modules III, V, VII, and XVI(A) will be offered in San Francisco as well.

Module III: Gastroenterology, Neurotransmitters, Neurology will feature speakers David Hasse, MD; Todd LePine, MD; Pam Smith, MD, MS, MPH; Elizabeth Stuller, MD; and Catherine Willner, MD.  The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) will be kicking off 2014 in San Francisco, CA the weekend of March 13-16th. This event will host hundreds of medical practitioners from a variety of specialties interested in learning more about Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT), or how to incorporate it into their existing practice. This BHRT symposium features distinguished medical speakers, all who specialize in treating patients with hormone therapy.
